ABDUCTION SUSPECTS ARRAIGNED

Individuals arrested in connection with the staged abduction of Juja MP George Koimburi will be arraigned in court today under a Miscellaneous Application filled in court that claims that Koimburi was kidnapped from Full Gospel Ebenezer Church in Mugutha. Police who are continuing with investigations are expected to seek more time to detain the suspects as they work to uncover the motive behind the incident which has created panic, fear and sharp political divisions across the country.

Among the politicians arrested as part of the ongoing investigations is Murang’a Kanyenyaini MCA Grace Nduta.She was arrested a day after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) announced they had discovered a private vehicle allegedly used in the abduction, a Subaru Forester in Juja Township.  It has been confirmed that despite her claims of being in Kangemi and attending church services and political rallies on May25,2025, evidence clearly shows that she was at the Ellis Bar and Restaurant in Kiganjo, Gatundu South with Hon.George Koimburi the entire night.

Besides being a sitting member of Parliament, Koimburi is affiliated with the newly formed Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), which is an opposition to the current government.

Koimburi was taken to Karen Hospital in Nairobi, where he is admitted and has allegedly declined to record a statement.
