ACTIVIST BONIFACE MWANGI ARRESTED AT HIS HOME BY DCI OFFICERS

Prominent human rights activist and photojournalist Boniface Mwangi was arrested this morning at his residence, known as Courage Base, by officers believed to be from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (@DCI_Kenya). The circumstances surrounding his arrest remain unclear.

Mwangi’s legal team, including lawyers James Njeri (@JamesKWaNjeri) and Eyan Mugo (@eyanm), confirmed they are actively pursuing information on the reasons for his detention and ensuring his rights are respected.

Speaking to the press shortly after the incident, one of his lawyers stated:

“We are concerned about the manner of his arrest and are working swiftly to secure his release. We urge the authorities to follow due process and allow access to legal representation.”

Boniface Mwangi is widely known for his vocal activism against corruption, police brutality, and impunity in government. His arrest has sparked immediate reactions online, with hashtags like #FreeBonifaceMwangi and #JusticeForBoniface trending across social media platforms.
