CHUKA UNIVERSITY STUDENT TO REPRESENT KENYA IN GLOBAL MATH CONTEST IN SINGAPORE

Chuka University’s John Tingoi has earned a spot among 12 global finalists set to compete in the 2025 International Quant Championship (IQC) in Singapore on 29–30 September.
The final-year Applied Computer Science student outshone about 9,000 Kenyan contestants and roughly 80,000 participants worldwide to win the Kenyan leg of the competition.
Organised by WorldQuant, the IQC challenges participants to build predictive financial models using mathematics, coding and statistics. Tingoi’s victory now positions him to showcase Kenya’s talent on the world stage as he battles the best in quantitative analysis.
