Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has mocked political leaders who are eager to meaningfully contest the broad-based government in the 2027 General Election.
Speaking to individuals in Siaya during a boda boda empowerment exercise at Siaya KMTC grounds on Monday, Kindiki further stated that the partnership between President William Ruto and Raila Odinga cannot be unseated from power, as it has been meaningfully bringing services to Kenyans.
"We take our cue from Raila Odinga and William Ruto, they are working together and are leading us. Inclusive Kenya is the future," Kindiki noted.
"I see new politicians, they are giving us dramas on how they will defeat Ruto and Raila Odinga. Is it even possible to defeat the two?"
DP Kindiki hailed the 'broad-based' leadership duo for instituting reforms at the Lake Victoria region, observing that blue economy has performed and the fisherfolk have enjoyed beneficially.
He further stated that the State has received Ksh.3.2 billion in grants to take over the management of Lake Victoria beaches, boosting aqua farming and tourism within the region.
"The development level in Siaya has never been felt since the nation gained independence. This is the first government to go into investing in the blue economy in order to create the platform to improve the lives of fish farmers with the contribution of Raila Odinga," he noted.
The DP indicated that President Ruto's government is determined to deliver on its high-riding development agenda nationwide, adding that Lake region fish farmers have much to gain.
He contended that Kenya Kwanza's development record will never be topped, and that the opposition leaders will never be able to beat the government.
