Former Garissa North MP Abdikadir Hassan Yussuf, popularly known as Tallie, has died.
The death was confirmed on Friday August 22, 2025, by Fafi MP Abdikarim Osman, who expressed deep sorrow and sent condolences to the bereaved family.
Health Cabinet Secretary Adan Duale also mourned the former legislator, offering prayers for forgiveness and eternal peace. “Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return. O Allah, forgive him, elevate his station, enlarge his grave and shed light upon him in it,” he said.
Dertu MCA Aden Odawa described the late Yussuf as a dedicated leader who made notable contributions to both Garissa County and the nation. He prayed for strength and comfort for his family and friends.
Yussuf served as MP for Garissa North and was remembered for his commitment to the region’s development.
