Former professional wrestler Kevin Nikel, widely known by his ring names Ivan Warsaw and Knuckles Madsen, has died after being shot in Benton County, Arkansas. He was 41.
According to law enforcement, the incident occurred shortly after midnight near Rogers, Arkansas. Deputies responding to a shooting found Nikel with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office has launched a homicide investigation into the fatal shooting. Authorities have not yet released details about possible suspects or motives behind the attack.
Kevin Nikel had a long-running career on the independent wrestling scene and briefly appeared in WWE’s NXT, where he competed in a televised battle royal. While his time with the WWE was short-lived, Nikel remained active on the indie circuit, earning respect for his physical style and in-ring charisma.
Tributes have begun pouring in from wrestling fans and former colleagues, many describing him as a dedicated performer and passionate athlete.
