Gachagua Downplays Ukambani Votes

During an interview with vernacular radio stations from the Ukambani region on Wednesday, February 26, Gachagua highlighted the need for the Kamba community to form genuine alliances to achieve meaningful political impact.

Rigathi Gachagua reiterated his past remarks about the Ukambani region’s insufficient votes, urging the Kamba community to form new political alliances for meaningful impact.
He argued that the Kamba voting bloc, totalling 1.5-2 million votes, is inadequate on its own and must unite with other regions to achieve political success.

"I will never, not even for a single day, deceive the Kamba or other Kenyans. It is true I was there and I said it is not enough. And it is true that on their own, they are insufficient. Because 1.5 million votes on their own will not take you anywhere.
You must unite with others so that those 1.5 or 2 million can be added to others to make a meaningful impact. And I was saying at that time that those 1.5 million will only make sense if you seek genuine allies. You did not find genuine allies, and you did not go anywhere. That is the truth. You know, sometimes the truth is a bit bitter," Gachagua stated.

Gachagua urged the Kamba community to adopt a new political strategy, emphasizing the need to find new allies after years of unsuccessful partnerships.
