Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi has accused former DP Rigathi Gachagua of traveling to the US to fraud Kenyans in the diaspora with an aim of fleecing them of their ' hard - earned' money.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday, 30th, Sudi labeled Gachagua a conman, alleging that he used the guise of aspiring to the presidency to 'scam' the expatriates.
"So, Wamunyoro, your trip to the USA was to scam hardworking Kenyans out of their hard-earned cash? You want to swindle Kenyans abroad in broad daylight?"
He further asked the diasporians to demand full accountability from Gachagua by questioning how he managed the finances entrusted to him during all his tenure in government.
The legislator went on accusing Gachagua of being corrupt, alleging that he masterminded the KEMSA scandal and misappropriated the 2.65 Billion -allocated to his office while he was Deputy President.
He concluded requiring Gachagua to return back home to face Kenyans rather than " conning the diasporians who work in devastating conditions".
Sudi's blast came in response to Gachagua wooing the expats to financial support his newly formed political outfit , Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP).
Speaking in the USA on 27th July, the former number two highlighted his DCP as a young party that would require extra resources to facilitate its success.
He therefore requested his audience to support the DCP, promising that his presidential victory would bring lots of rewards to the diaspora, including; Special interest rates , One nominated senator and MP from the diaspora and nominated MCA in every county who comes from the diaspora.
The unfolding signifies Gachagua's calculated move to malign the Kenyan government and rally the diaspora to his side. However, President Ruto's allies, such as the Kapsaret MP are keen on countering the ex-DP with equivalent political jabs .
