JAMBOJET ISSUES TRAVEL ADVISORY OVER ROADWORKS NEAR MOI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Jambojet has issued a 16-day travel advisory for passengers using Moi International Airport in Mombasa due to planned road construction that may cause disruptions along key access routes. In a statement released on August 22,2025, the budget airline advised travellers flying from Moi International Airport to expect possible delays and prepare accordingly. The advisory follows an announcement by the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), which will carry out road and drainage works between Makupa Bridge and Changamwe Interchange from Saturday, August 23 to Sunday, September 7, 2025.

During this period, traffic congestion is expected on roads leading to the airport. As a precaution, Jambojet is urging all passengers traveling within the affected dates to plan ahead and allow extra time when heading to the airport to avoid delays. The airline assured customers that flight operations will continue as scheduled and emphasized that the advisory is meant to reduce the impact of the roadworks on travel plans.
