KASIPUL MP GUNNED DOWN ALONG NGONG ROAD

Kasipul Member of Parliament Charles Ong’ondo Were has been shot dead by two gunmen on a motorbike along Ngong Road near City Mortuary in Nairobi.

The MP was fatally wounded in the brazen afternoon attack. His body was later moved to Nairobi Hospital, where top government officials including DCI boss Mohammed Amin, Nairobi Police Commander Adamson Bungei, and Interior PS Raymond Omollo were present.

Charles Ong’ondo Were was first elected to Parliament in 2017 and re-elected in 2022 on the ODM party ticket. Police have launched an investigation and a manhunt is underway for the assailants.
