KENYAN GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES CARIBBEAN TEACHING JOBS FOR EDUCATORS UNDER KAZIMAJUU PROGRAMME

The Kenyan government has unveiled new international teaching opportunities for qualified educators under the Kazimajuu Programme, opening doors for diploma and degree holders to work in the Caribbean.
In a statement released by the State Department for Diaspora Affairs, the initiative—branded “Mwalimu Majuu”—targets Kenyan teachers with diplomas, degrees, or postgraduate diplomas in Education, who are registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Applicants are required to submit their curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, a valid Kenyan passport or national ID, and evidence of TSC registration. The government emphasized that no recruitment fees will be charged, and all applications must go through the Diaspora Placement Agency (DPA), the official body overseeing international job placements.
Vacancies are available across a wide range of subjects including Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Agriculture, Spanish, Technical Drawing, Special Education, and vocational trades like Plumbing, Welding, Carpentry, and Automotive Technology.
“This is a golden opportunity for Kenyan educators to expand their careers globally while promoting our country’s professional excellence abroad,” the department noted.
The deadline for applications is July 18, 2025, and successful candidates will undergo health screenings and orientation before deployment.
