The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced extended working hours at its Service Centres and Huduma Centres to assist taxpayers in meeting the June 30,2025, deadline for filling tax returns. In a notice on June 7, KRA stated that it has extended working hours at select Huduma Centres, Service centres, and Contact Centres. On weekdays, KRA service centres will be open between 7 am and 7pm. They will also be operating on Saturdays from 9am to 9pm but will remain closed on Sundays. There will also be a special opening 2 days before the deadline, on June 28th and 29th from 9am to 6pm.
Some of the Huduma Centres will operate between 7am and 7pm while the rest will be open from 8am to 5pm. All Huduma Centres will be closed on weekends.
In Nairobi, the select huduma centres include:
· GPO Huduma Centre
· City Square Huduma Centre
· Makadara Huduma Centre
· Kibra Huduma Centre
· Eastleigh Huduma Centre
In Mombasa region, the Mombasa Huduma Centre will be open for extended hours.
Those in the Rift Valley region are advised to visit;
· Nakuru Huduma Centre
· Kericho Huduma Centre
· Eldoret Huduma Centre
· Kitale Huduma Centre
The Northern region has Huduma Centres in Meru and Embu
There are Huduma Centres in the Central region;
· Kiambu Huduma Centre
· Laikipia Huduma Centre
· Nyeri Huduma Centre
Western region has Huduma Centres in;
· Kisumu City
· Kakakemga County
· Kisii County
The extension aims to ensure taxpayers file returns on time and avoid penalties.
