Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse joined the list of politicians who fell victim of the June 25 protests, following the invasion and ravage of his opulent asset in Makindu .
The law maker was probably considered a bull's-eye following his allegiance to President Ruto and his motion which fostered the impeachment of former DP, Rigathi Gachagua.
Reports revealed that the infamous "Savannah Paradise Hotel" in Makindu, Makueni , owned by the Mutuse suffered a brutal setback , being looted and defaced by stones.
The Wednesday protests saw unprecedented destruction of property, injuries and even deaths. According to The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), 8 deaths were reported and 204 injuries realised.
