Political analyst Prof. Mutahi Ngunyi now says former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua will be the biggest loser if the current war between him and President William Ruto is anything to go by.
Taking to his X handle, Mutahi insinuated that Ruto will continue to ignore Gachagua, making the latter believe that he has won Mt. Kenya ahead of the upcoming 2027 General Election.
Mutahi Ngunyi goes on to claim that when Mt. Kenya rebelled against Moi, the president of Kenya didn't show any open or straightforward response because he knew that doing so would complicate things for him.
Instead, Moi, just like Ruto is doing, started to bank on regions whose votes were perceived to be fewer compared to other regions, such as Mt. Kenya.
Mutahi Ngunyi: Dear Gachagua, you will not win the war against Ruto. When Kikuyus showed arrogance towards Mzee Moi, he ignored them. Then, he turned to the minority tribes like the Somalis of Eastleigh and ruled for 24 years. Do you understand what I am saying?
