NCIC Formerly Warns Rigathi Gachagua For Threatening President Ruto

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has issued a cessation notice to former Deputy President, E.G.H. Rigathi Gachagua, urging him to desist from making utterances that contravene the NCI Act No. 12 of 2008.

On Sunday, February 23, 2025, at AIPCA Antubetwe Kiongo Church Igembe North within Meru County Rigathi Gachagua made utterances and/or statement meant to stir up the emotions of a section of members of the Ameru community NCIC noted.

"Rais amepanga kufukuza Chief Justice Martha Koome. Ameanza na Rigathi Gachagua, amemfukuza. Akarudi akafukuza Mithika Linturi. Sasa amepanga njama ya kumfukuza Martha Koome. Amepanga pale kortini, anahonga watu kufukuza Koome."
"Anataka akifukuza hawa watu amalize biashara zote za watu wa Mlima Kenya. Lakini mimi nakwambia rais, ukifukuza Martha Koome, usikanyage hapa Meru. Ulifukuza Rigathi Gachagua watu wa Mlima wakanyamaza, ukafikiria ni waoga. Tunakwambia rais; wewe panga njama ufukuze Martha Koome na wewe ukae Nairobi usikanyage hapa Meru tena ukifukuza Martha Koome!" Niguo adu aitu ? Nimuguitekere

Unajua this is too much now, How do you purge the leadership of an entire community that made you president, umepanga njama ya kumaliza jamii ya mlima, Kumaliza viongozi wao wale wako na msimamo na kuweka vibaraka, kumaliza biashara ya watu wa mlima, mambo ya miraa, uliahidi utaangalia, ameangalia? ameangalia? Si alikua anakuja hapa kwa gari anakula miraa akiwa kwa gari juu? Ilikuani uongo sii uongo? You know, how do you take an entire community as fools? NCIC stated the warning to the President not to set foot in Meru County if the Chief Justice Hon. Martha Koome is removed from office, is a direct violation of the President's constitutional right as the symbol of national unity to visit any part of the Country to discharge his official duties as the duly and lawfully elected president of the republic of Kenya.

NCIC has therefore asked former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua in the interest of national cohesion and unity, to desist from such or similar utterances/conduct as they are likely to interfere with peaceful and harmonious co-existence of ethnic groups.
