ODM CELEBRATIONS RESCHEDULED AGAIN

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has put its 20th anniversary celebrations on hold after receiving a call by counties for the party to tour their jurisdictions before organizing the grand finale fete.
In a statement by Junet Mohammed, ODM@20 planning committee chairman, the party relinquished the idea of expanding the program in an attempt to make it more accommodating.

Originally scheduled for October 10–12 in Mombasa, the event will now be held between November 14–16, 2025."After deep reflection, Party Leader graciously accepted our request to expand the program and practice inclusivity by engaging more counties before convening in Mombasa for the grand celebration," the statement partially read.
"Following this, the final preparations and the main day in Mombasa have been rescheduled to 14th to 16th November 2025."

The party celebrations have been conducted in four counties: Busia, Wajir, Kisii and Narok Counties. With the notice, ODM will move activities to Kajiado (October 15), Turkana (October 26), Kilifi (November 2) and Nairobi (November 9).

Party members will also participate in a soccer tournament during October 9-10, 2025 celebrations.
"We wish to assure our members, supporters and the general public that the postponement is aimed at amplifying our reach, deepen inclusivity and ensure this is a landmark occasion in the history of our party to be celebrated by all Kenyans, consistent with our values of unity, democracy and participation," noted Junet.

"We thank all our stakeholders, supporters and partners for their commitment and patience as we work towards making ODM a more robust family."
