United Kingdom's Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has made his first trip to Kyiv as a Prime Minister, where he has vowed to put Ukraine in the 'strongest possible position ' in 2025.
Sir Keir arrived in the Ukraine's capital earlier today and accompanied President Volodymyr Zelensky, to lay flowers on the wall of remembrance of those killed in the Ukraine-Russia war.
This trip marks what according to the United Kingdom is a landmark 100-year partnership pact with Ukraine, promising to seal an agreement that would formalise economic and military support that has already been pledged to the Ukraine.
"This is not just about the here and now, it is also about an investment in our two countries for the next century."
"Putin's ambition to wrench Ukraine away from its closest partners has been a monumental strategic failure. Instead, we are closer than ever, and this partnership will take that friendship to the next level," he said.
This visit also comes just days before Donald Trump re-enters the White House.
