PRESIDENT RUTO ANNOUNCES 113,000 JOBS FOR YOUTHS

President William Ruto has unveiled 113,000 new job opportunities for young people across Kenya, aimed at tackling youth unemployment. Speaking during International Youth Day celebrations in Kakamega County on August 12, 2025, President Ruto highlighted that 45,000 youths have already been engaged in the Nairobi River regeneration initiative under the Climate Worxs driven projects. He noted that this initiative will be expanded nationwide through a broader road works program, creating 113,000 jobs, including 4,000 positions in Kakamega County alone. In addition, he announced the launch of the Kandarasi Mtaani Program which is set to create a further 200,000 jobs for young Kenyans.

The President also revealed that the government, through the Public Service Commission, has started recruiting 4,000 graduates to support the Affordable Housing Program. These graduates will work under professional firms contracted by the state. To streamline access to these opportunities, Ruto launched the Kuna Form portal, a centralized platform where young people can explore available job openings, register for various programs, and even share opportunities with others. The portal can be accessed via KunaForm@nyckenya.go.ke
