RIGATHI GACHAGUA CHOOSES FAMILY OVER POLITICS

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has opted to go on a vacation in Nairobi, with his family as President William Ruto embarked on a five-day tour of the Mt Kenya region, Gachagua's political stronghold.

The President arrival at Sagana State Lodge in Nyeri County on Monday, coincided with Gachagua's visit to Wangige Market in Kiambu.

Reports indicated that the former DP had planned to stage series of public engagements in Nairobi, Kajiado, and Machakos over the same period, which somehow seemed like trying to gauge his political fortitude against that of the President.
