President William Ruto on Thursday, February 20, met the Opposition Hold-Out group of South Sudan in Nairobi, where General Pagan Amum led the delegation.
The President said that at the request of the South Sudan Government delegation, the ongoing mediation process in Nairobi will adjourn until March 2025 to facilitate consultations that will give the way forward.
Kenya has been providing the mediation process at the request of South Sudan’s President, Salva Kiir, for the past 11 months to resolve the political stalemate that has resulted in a serious humanitarian situation and difficult security challenges.
