SABINA CHEGE CALLS GACHAGUA UNPATRIOTIC AND IRRESPONSIBLE OVER HIS REMARKS ON RUTO - RSF DEAL

Nominated MP Sabina Chege has slammed former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over his recent allegations that linked President Ruto to Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Speaking in a televised interview with KTN, he accused Ruto of engaging in shady transactions with the paramilitary group leader, Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo alias Hemedti, calling Ruto , ' the real commander of RSF'.

He further alleged that, the Head of State has been conducting a gold trade business with Dagalo while the paramilitary leader launders money to buy firearms for his force, amid ongoing wars with the Sudan army.

During a Citizen TV daybreak program on Thursday, Sabina Chege termed Gachagua's words as irresponsible and can jeopardize the security of the nation.

“Certain government positions come with responsibility; it is not about making someone else look bad,” she said

“When you took the oath of office, there are certain things you will die without talking about because of their sensitivity and where it would lead this country.”

She further called the former DP unpatriotic by demanding the sanctioning of Ruto , over alleged involvement in the Sudan chaos. And also ruin Kenya's relationship with other neighbouring countries.

“As a patriotic citizen who purports to love this country and thinks you’re its saviour, you want your president sanctioned and comes up with statements that can put this country in a very dangerous position with its neighbours?” she asked.

“If you want to be as truthful as you say you are, there is where to take that information… we need to be vetting the individuals going into these offices.”

Moreover, Gachagua on Sunday went on to 2023, stating that Ruto had coerced him into inviting Hemedti in the Country before realising that it was actually a business oriented visit between the duo .

However, the President is yet to respond against these allegations.
