SENATOR CHERARGEI CALLS OUT RAILA'S MEN

Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has blasted Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o, Siaya's James Orengo and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, terming them as having a mission to sabotage the broadbased pact.

Speaking at an interview with Citizen TV’s Daybreak program on Thursday,24, April , Cherargei claimed that the trio are working tooth and nail to impede the performance of the Ruto-Raila pact.

“I found it baseless; it is more of populism and pedestrian, and these are saboteurs of the broad-based arrangement – him, Orengo and Sifuna. They have been trying every means to sabotage it, and it has undermined their success,” the senator said.

The broadbased outfit was crafted upon President Ruto's engagement in assisting Raila's AU chairmanship bid , and became idealised through a Memorandum of Understanding ( MOU) between Ruto and Raila. This saw several Odinga's men being appointed to Ruto's administration.

However, Orengo, Nyong'o alongside Nairobi's Sifuna have occasionally portrayed their dissatisfaction with the Ruto-Raila coalition, accusing it of facading Ruto's wrongs, such as sabotage of devolution, under the guise of National unity.

Refering to Governor Nyong’o's Tuesday, 22 April letter, which argued that the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) and the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KERA) should not exist when the national government fully supports devolution and Ruto taking Kenya back to the late President Daniel Moi's authoritarian ' Nyayo ' era, Cherargei dismissed Nyong'o arguing that Nyong'o's Nyanza is the top beneficiary of Ruto's regime .

“He is telling us we are going back to the Nyayo era, yet for the first time, Nyanza has gotten very serious projects, senior appointments."

He also highlighted John's Mbadi appointment to the Treasury docket , a plus to Nyanza.
“Money now sleeps in Nyanza!” the senator remarked.

Above that, Cherargei required Raila Odinga to castigate these three from criticizing the government.

“Nyong’o, Orengo and Sifuna must stop blackmailing the President. Raila Odinga must call them out for this incessant and irritating blackmail and undermining of the government,” he stated.
