SHOCK AS MUTILATED BODY FOUND DUMPED IN LUGARI

Police in Lugari have launched investigations after a mutilated body was discovered early Tuesday July 29, 2025, in a bushy area within the Apostolic zone of Mautuma Ward.
According to Citizen Digital, the body was found with visible head injuries, although the exact cause of death remains unclear pending a postmortem examination. The grim discovery has left residents shocked and fearful.
Confirming the incident, PanPaper OCS and area Assistant Chief Joseline Juma called for calm and urged the public to assist with any information that could help identify the attackers or establish the motive behind the killing.
“We appeal to anyone with credible information to come forward. This will help us speed up investigations and ensure justice is served,” Juma said.
The body was taken to the Webuye County Hospital Mortuary for further examination as police intensify their probe into the incident.
This latest killing has reignited security concerns in the area, with residents calling for increased patrols and the dismantling of suspected criminal gangs operating in the region.
