Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi said even President William Ruto would face impeachment if he committed certain offences
Citing the impeachment of former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua as an example, Sudi said the same could happen to Ruto.
Sudi said impeachment does not indicate hatred but that people believe the individual is not the right person for the job.
Speaking on Tuesday, February 4, the MP said Ruto would be impeached if he began dividing Kenyans along ethnic lines.
He said the country did not come to a standstill when former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua was removed, and the same would happen if Ruto were ousted.
"Did the country stop moving when Gachagua was removed? And will the country stop if we decide to remove William Ruto from office?" Sudi questioned.
"We can also impeach William Ruto if he starts being tribal," he affirmed.
