TRAFFIC DISRUPTED AFTER ROAD ACCIDENT AT KIJABE JUNCTION

Traffic along the busy Nairobi–Nakuru Highway was disrupted on Wednesday September 10, 2025, afternoon following a serious road accident at Kijabe Junction.
The crash, which involved a head-on collision, left one driver trapped inside their vehicle. Quick-thinking bystanders rushed to the scene and used axes to cut through the wreckage in efforts to rescue the motorist.
Emergency responders later arrived to assist in the rescue operation. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported so far, though the extent of injuries sustained remains unclear.
The incident caused heavy traffic snarl-ups in the area as vehicles were diverted to allow rescue efforts and clearance of the wreckage. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
