TRUMP ISSUES 'LAST WARNING' TO HAMAS

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued what he termed his “last warning” to Hamas, urging the group to accept a hostage-release deal he says has already been agreed to by Israel.
In a statement on his social media platform, Trump said: “The Israelis have accepted my Terms. It is time for Hamas to accept as well. This is my last warning, there will not be another one!”
The proposal, mediated by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, would see Hamas release around 48 hostages on the first day of a ceasefire in exchange for Israel freeing thousands of Palestinian prisoners. The deal also includes the start of negotiations to end the war.
Trump later told reporters he expected an announcement “very soon” and insisted all hostages would be returned, including the bodies of those who have died.
Hamas acknowledged receiving the U.S. proposal and signaled readiness to negotiate. However, it has demanded that any agreement include a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and a clear declaration ending the war.
An Israeli official, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the government is “seriously considering” the proposal but stopped short of confirming full acceptance.
The ultimatum marks Trump’s strongest intervention yet in efforts to end the Gaza conflict, raising hopes for a breakthrough but also leaving questions over whether the rival sides can bridge their remaining differences.
