President Trump has launched his latest attack against Europe claiming that the United States should worry more about ‘migrant rape gangs and drug lords’ than Vladimir Putin or 'end up like Europe'.
The President made the comment on his Truth Social media platform where he wrote that they (Americans) should spend less time worrying about Putin, and more time worrying about migrant rape gangs, drug lords, murderers, and people from mental institutions entering their country, so that we don’t end up like Europe. Trump's comment comes as Europe continues to feel the aftermath of last week's war of words between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky which ended with Zelensky being booted out of the White House.
The continent is also coming to terms with the brutal reality that it might not be able to rely on America for its security anymore.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said yesterday that Europe needed to start doing the 'heavy lifting' with regards to Ukraine, following the conclusion of a summit with other world leaders where they discussed increasing defence spending. Defence spending, particularly within NATO, has been a thorn in the side of relations between Europe and the Trump presidency for years now.
