UDA Hails By-Election Victories, Says Results Affirm Public Trust

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has claimed a clean sweep in the February 26 by-elections, saying the outcome reflects growing public confidence in the party’s leadership and development agenda.

Speaking during a press briefing on Friday, UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan thanked Kenyans for turning out to vote, describing the results as “decisive, resounding, and politically domineering.”

“The Yellow Army has once again triumphed decisively,” said Hassan Omar, adding that voters had rejected what he termed “rudderless and visionless politics that offer noise without substance.”

UDA confirmed the election of Hon. Tubi Mohamed Tubi as Member of Parliament for Isiolo South, alongside Hon. Eliphas Kaianga (West Kabras Ward), Hon. Duncan Muratia Nyaga (Evurore Ward), and Hon. Peterson Njeru Njiru (Muminji Ward).

According to the Secretary General, the victories signal sustained trust in the ruling party and its socio-economic agenda.

“This clean sweep across all elective seats on offer stands as a powerful testimony of the immense trust Kenyans continue to repose in the UDA Party and its leadership,” he said.

Hassan Omar said the by-election outcome reflects a shift by voters toward development-focused leadership and away from rhetoric driven by ethnic profiling and political grandstanding.

“The voters are emphatically rejecting politics whose currency remains hollow microphone gymnastics, rhetoric without responsibility, and narratives designed to stoke division rather than offer solutions,” he said.

He added that residents of Isiolo, West Kabras, Evurore, and Muminji had sent a clear message in support of the implementation of the UDA Manifesto, popularly known as The Plan.

“The Kenyan message emerging from these by-elections speaks unmistakably to growing public faith in our transformational agenda,” Hassan Omar said.

The Secretary General said UDA would remain focused on governance and service delivery and would not be drawn into what he described as “unproductive discourse with a disjointed opposition.”

The by-elections were conducted following vacancies in the affected constituencies and wards.

Hassan Omar concluded by thanking voters for what he termed their credible trust in the party’s leadership and reaffirmed UDA’s commitment to unity and development in Kenya.
