Kibwezi West aspiring Member of Parliament Urbanus Wambuakana, popularly known as Kana, has outlined his political vision anchored on grassroots development, youth empowerment, and uniting the people of Makueni County under one progressive agenda.
Speaking at the Wiper Patriotic Front Delegates meeting, Wambuakana said his main goal is to give the people of Kibwezi West “a stronger voice in national politics” and ensure equitable distribution of resources in the constituency.
“My political aim is to serve the people of Kibwezi West with honesty, transparency, and commitment. For too long, our people have been left behind in development. It’s time we reclaim our place through unity and hard work,” he said.
Wambuakana said he intends to prioritize improving education standards, promoting agribusiness, and pushing for better infrastructure to boost trade and access to markets.
“We will support our farmers with irrigation projects and value addition. Our youth will get opportunities through innovation and entrepreneurship programs, not handouts,” he added.
He also pledged to champion accountability and inclusive leadership, saying Kibwezi West deserves leaders who are closer to the people and not “only visible during election seasons.”
“Leadership is service, not a privilege. I want to work with every resident — from the youth to the elderly — to make Kibwezi West a model of transformation in Makueni County,” Wambuakana stated.
Wambuakana further reaffirmed his support for Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, saying his political journey aligns with the values of peace, unity, and integrity.
“Our movement is about hope and a new beginning for our region. I believe in the leadership of Dr. Kalonzo Musyoka and the vision of the Wiper Patriotic Front,” he said.
