US VISA FEE HIKE FOR KENYANS

Kenyans planning to travel to the United States will soon be required to pay an additional $250 (approximately Ksh 32,440) on top of the current visa application fees.
This comes after the U.S. government announced new visa reciprocity fees aimed at matching what American citizens pay when applying for similar visas to Kenya. The move is part of efforts to ensure balance in visa-related charges between the two nations.
The revised fees will apply to specific non-immigrant visa categories and are expected to take effect in the coming weeks.
The U.S. embassy has advised Kenyan applicants to check the official embassy website regularly for updates on the implementation date and affected visa types.
