Machakos Woman Representative Joyce Kamene Kasimbi has called on Speaker Moses Wetangula to respect the court's verdict on Azimio being the majority in Parliament.
"We understand that the speaker took a case to court which declared that Azimio is the majority. Why don't we uphold our Constitution? Let us see the Speaker do the rightful and honour Azimio as the majority in Parliament," she said.
She also called on Treasury to release funds to counties to deter challenges affecting service delivery.
Kamene vowed to lead other legislators in the coming week to advocate for funds to be disbursed by the government. She also appealed to governors to enhance service delivery once the funds are released.
Further, the legislator called on the Kenya Kwanza Government to disburse school capitation on time to enable effective running of operations.
