Veteran Kenyan radio presenter Alex Mwikideu has questioned people’s agenda on what will make them vote in the coming 2027 general elections. Through his official Instagram account, he has emphasized the importance of discussing critical issues before elections to avoid post-election conversations. He has also noted Kenyans’ fatigue with the current political landscape and has questioned what specific issues or agendas would motivate people to vote in the 2027 elections without considering the tribe or age of a politician. He shifts the focus from presidential candidates to the specific issues and agendas that would motivate people to vote in 2027.
Earlier in August 2023, the presenter announced he will be on the ballot paper during the 2027 General Elections. He said that he wanted to vie for a parliamentary seat during the 2022 General elections but he was not financially stable.
