Controversial Car Dealer Khalif Kairo Faces Fresh Fraud Charges

Joseph Kairo Wambui, popularly known as Khalif Kairo, is once again in legal trouble as he appeared before Kibera Law Courts facing two separate fraud cases. The controversial second-hand car dealer, who has been entangled in multiple legal battles since late 2024, was arrested on Tuesday, March 25, at Milimani Law Courts shortly after attending mentions for three other ongoing fraud cases.

Kairo was taken into custody and presented in Courtroom 5 at Kibera Law Courts, where he answered to fresh allegations of fraud. One case accuses him of receiving full payment for a BMW but failing to deliver the vehicle, while another complainant has filed a similar claim, further complicating his legal situation.

Inside the courtroom, Kairo appeared visibly unsettled, often lowering his head and avoiding direct eye contact as the charges were read out. His legal troubles continue to mount, with reports indicating that multiple new complaints have been filed against him in recent days.

The allegations against Kairo revolve around undelivered luxury vehicles, a pattern that has repeatedly drawn law enforcement attention to his business dealings. However, he maintains his innocence, attributing his legal woes to business sabotage and economic challenges affecting car importation.
