Sensational Comedian , Kennedy Odhiambo alias Crazy Kennar has dismissed any interest in joining politics, saying his heart is firmly rooted in art. Speaking after his performance at Joe Master’s show in Mlimani City, he told Wasafi Media that his purpose is to entertain and educate the society — not to sit in parliament.
“I’ve already accepted my role in society; not all of us can be MPs,” he said. “I just want to make people happy and show what’s happening around us. What I do is edutainment.
Kennar encouraged upcoming content creators to start small and remain consistent. He reminded them that a phone is all they need to begin.
“As long as you have a phone, know you have money in your hand,” he said. “Start where you are, it’s never too late.”
The comedian shared that he has been in the content creation space for nine years, and at one point, his work employed over 500 people.
“I started with just a phone. Now I’ve done many things — I’ve travelled, created jobs. There was a time I had about 500 people working on the show.”
On whether his bold content puts him at risk, Kennar said he’s not afraid. He believes he’s simply showing society its reflection.
“Msanii ni kioo cha jamii (An artist is a mirror of society),” he said. “We’re not attacking anyone. We’re just saying what’s already happening — like how public funds disappear before helping the people.”
Kennar further urged the youth to remain focused and believe in the power of creativity.
“Push until you get there. Art has money if you put your soul into it. Let’s keep working hard. I love you all.”
