DRUNK MAN THROWS 5 YEAR OLD NIECE OFF THE FIFTH FLOOR

Tragedy struck at Jacaranda Gardens, Nairobi, on Thursday morning June 12, As the community remains in shock after a heartbreaking incident that took the life of baby Amanda, an innocent child whose life was cut short in a horrific way.
The tragedy happened yesterday at apartment C4-205. According to reports, Amanda’s uncle who was allegedly drunk, caused a commotion, overpowered the house help, and in a shocking act of violence, threw baby Amanda from the balcony after she asked her uncle to leave the room so that she can get dressed. Neighbours and security rushed her to KU Referral Hospital, but sadly, she died while receiving treatment.
The suspect, who is the biological brother of Amanda’s mother, was restrained at the scene and handed over to police, but due to injuries sustained after being confronted by angry neighbours, he was transferred to kiambu hospital. Investigators from Kahawa west police station and the Directorate of criminal investigations (DCI) are now handling investigations.
