ELON MUSK CALLS FOR DEPORTATION OF BOSTON IMAM OVER CONTROVERSIAL SERMON

Tech billionaire Elon Musk has ignited controversy after calling for the deportation of a Boston imam who declared that America “would collapse without Islam” and urged white Americans to “go back to Europe.”
“Kick him out of the country,” Musk wrote on X, responding to a widely circulated video of Imam Abdullah Faaruuq, whose sermon has sparked a firestorm online.
The remarks come amid ongoing national debates around immigration, race, religious freedom, and extremism. In the video, Imam Faaruuq delivers a critique of the United States, accusing white Americans of spreading violence globally and asserting that Islam is the only hope for the country’s survival.
“What’s wrong with you, sick white Americans?” Faaruuq said in the sermon.
“Go back to Europe, because you’ve done nothing but cause hell in this country and all over the world. Without Islam, America will meet its demise.”
Faaruuq also referenced the “Appeal to the Great Spirit” statue outside Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, calling it a symbol of prayer for Europeans to return to their homelands.
He described the U.S. as “the land of the coward and the home of the slave,” denouncing its historical record on slavery, colonization, and racial inequality.
“You never believed all men are created equal,” he said, accusing the nation of hypocrisy and systemic exclusion of minorities from sports, business, and leadership out of fear of being outperformed.
He further linked racial division in the U.S. to anxieties over interracial relationships and the spread of Islam within communities of color.
Despite the harsh rhetoric, Faaruuq did add that “plenty of white people” are “just as good as any other person.” Still, he concluded with a call for America to embrace Islam, saying, “Be Muslim, America. Submit to the will of God. This is the answer.”
The video has since gone viral, triggering backlash, support, and broader questions about the role of religious leaders in political and cultural discourse.
