ICHUNG'WAH APOLOGIZES OVER HIS REMARKS AGAINST GACHAGUA

National Assembly Majority Leader, Kimani Ichung'wah has rendered quite a cryptic apology to the residents of Nyandarua, seemingly over his remarks against ex-Dp, Rigathi Gachagua.

While addressing Kirinyaga grassroot leaders in DP Kithure Kindiki's, Karen home on Tuesday, May 13, Ichung’wah repented of his words asking for forgiveness from the opinion leaders.

“I know there are some people who are not happy with what I'm saying, and I'm sorry. Have you forgiven me? The biggest betrayal is betraying people and their cause."

The head of the majority whip went on revealing that leaders tend to use a script of lies to be voted into power , probably alleging that the residents of Nyandarua support Gachagua despite his lies.
"The easiest route is for your leaders to lie to you by telling you the things you want to hear so that they are re-elected,” he added.

Ichung'wah seemingly tended to reconcile with the Nyandaruans following his last visit , which met a hostile reception from booing to heckling. He was heckled during President Ruto's public rally in Kirinyaga.

He saw the platform as an opportunity to open up his heart , asking for forgiveness but also sending an undercovered message.

“Sorry for speaking for a long time; I had to explain myself. I need such forums to explain myself because if I were to address you during a rally, you might have booed and heckled me. But even if I am booed, I will still tell you the truth. I ask you to support your leaders,” he continued.

The majority leader has been a vocal critic of the former Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua ,his remarks against Gachagua was the catalyst for the violence against him in Nyandarua.

However, Ichung'wah today apologised for his remarks yet expressing an inherent message of being castigated for exposing the truth.
