Interviews for 100,000 NYOTA Grant Applicants Set to Begin Nationwide on Monday

The government has announced that nationwide interviews for the NYOTA Grant Program will officially commence on Monday, marking a key milestone in efforts to empower Kenyan youth and small business owners.

The NYOTA Grant, a flagship initiative aimed at supporting over 100,000 beneficiaries, seeks to provide financial assistance and mentorship to young entrepreneurs, innovators, and community changemakers across the country.

According to officials from the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports, and the Arts, interview panels will be stationed in all 47 counties, where shortlisted applicants will be evaluated based on innovation, sustainability, and community impact of their projects.

“This process is designed to ensure fairness and transparency as we identify deserving beneficiaries who can use the funds to create employment and drive local development,” a ministry spokesperson said.

Successful applicants will receive funding and training opportunities to help them grow their enterprises and contribute to Kenya’s economic transformation. The ministry has urged all shortlisted candidates to carry the required identification and documentation to their respective interview venues.

The NYOTA Grant Program has been widely praised for its focus on empowering youth-led ventures, particularly in rural areas, and promoting entrepreneurship as a pathway to financial independence.

Officials have also encouraged transparency throughout the selection process, assuring applicants that no payments or favors are required to secure the grant.
