Egyptian sensation Omar Marmoush has bid farewell to Eintracht Frankfurt as Manchester calls.
Marmoush was absent from the squad during Frankfurt's impressive 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. However, he joined his teammates on the pitch post-match, seemingly taking his final glance at Stadium Deutsche Bank Park.
Reacting to Marmoush's exit, sporting director Markus Krösche said that they have been in discussions with a club which is most likely to be Manchester City.
Krösche further hinted that a transfer to City presents a "massive opportunity" for the talented forward.
Reports suggest that the transfer fee for Marmoush could reach €75 million (approximately $77.1 million), with an additional €5 million (around $5.14 million) potentially coming from performance-related bonuses.
This season, Marmoush has established himself as one of the leading scorers in European football, netting 15 goals in just 17 Bundesliga appearances, placing him just behind top scorer Harry Kane. Across all competitions, he has accumulated an impressive total of 20 goals in 26 matches.
A move to Manchester City would mark a significant step in Marmoush's rapid rise, having joined Frankfurt on a free transfer in 2023 from Wolfsburg, where he managed only five goals the previous season. He is contracted with Frankfurt until 2027.
