Kaluma Warns of 2027 Violence

ODM MP Peter Kaluma has issued a strong warning about the 2027 elections, saying they could be the most violent Kenya has ever seen. He blames politicians like Rigathi Gachagua and the media for fueling division and inciting chaos.

His remarks come after former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua made a bold declaration against President William Ruto.

Gachagua, who was impeached in 2024, warned Ruto not to remove Chief Justice Martha Koome. Speaking in Meru, he claimed the President was plotting to oust her for refusing to follow his orders. He dared Ruto to go ahead with the plan, warning that he would never be allowed to step in Meru again.

Tensions are rising as political battles intensify. Gachagua continues to attack Ruto’s government, blaming it for poor governance and betraying the Mt. Kenya region. His latest remarks have deepened divisions, raising fears of instability ahead of the 2027 elections.
