Atalanta FC medics have confirmed that Nigerian star Ademola Lookman will miss their tommorow's Uefa Champions League clash with Barcelona, owing to a knee injury that he picked in training.
In statement today, the club has said that the 24-year-old forward hurt the lateral joint in his right knee, and therefore would not travel to Spain where the match will be played. They also added that he would be out of action for around three weeks, which sounds like potential trouble for the Italians given that he has so far netted 14 times and set up six goals.
With Lookman's absence, Charles De Ketelaere is expected to play in the forward position, as the 7th-ranked Atalanta look forward to climbing up the Uefa Champions League table.
