MIKE SONKO REACTS TO MARYA OKOTH’S QUICK MARRIAGE WITH A HUMEROUS JAB

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has questioned internet personality Marya Okoth’s swift decision to get married, just months after breaking up with her ex-boyfriend.

His viral post through his official X account only added fuel to the online buzz. Sharing a side-by-side photo of Marya’s past and present relationships, Sonko wrote, “In just one year, she broke up with the love of her life, met someone new, dated him, completed all the traditional ceremonies and got married. And you still don’t fear women?”

His post, while laced with humour, sparked widespread debate on social media. Some users praised Marya for moving on with grace and finding happiness again, while others were left in awe of how quickly life can change.

Marya Okoth walked down the aisle with her new husband, Lawyer Jack Okula in a lavish traditional wedding in Ugenya, Siaya County barely 11 months since her separation with comedian YY with whom they share a daughter. During the wedding, Marya wore a traditional attire, a leopard print dress with a headgear embellished with ostrich feathers and wore matching sandals. She also had a walking stick which matched her leopard print attire. On the other hand, her new husband wore a beige outfit which had the matching leopard print on the upper garment as well as matching shoes and a headgear crafted with cowrie shells.
