Mudavadi Condemns Attack on MP Salasya at Nyayo Stadium

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has strongly condemned the attack on Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, who was forcibly removed from Nyayo National Stadium during Kenya’s World Cup qualifier against Gabon.

Mudavadi termed the incident as an act of political intolerance that threatens democracy and called on Kenyans to embrace peaceful coexistence. He emphasized the need for respect, urging leaders and citizens alike to engage in constructive dialogue rather than resorting to violence.

The attack on Salasya, which was captured on video, saw a section of spectators confront and eject him from the stadium, forcing security personnel to intervene. While the exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, political chants were heard in the crowd.

Salasya’s party, the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K), has also condemned the incident, calling it an orchestrated attack by political opponents.
