ONANA'S BLUNDER DENIES MAN-UNITED CRUCIAL EUROPA WIN

Manchester United got quite a late lead against Lyon but they had to settle for a 2-2 draw in the first leg of their last-eight clash in the Europa League at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.

Lyon's, Thiago Almada scored from a free-kick in the 25th minute after a blunder from United's goal keeper, Andre Onana.

However, the Red Devils were able to rally back in the first half of injury time after Leny Yoro's close range header.

United finally broke the stalemate and took the lead in the 88th minute their striker , Joshua Zirkzee came off the bench and surmounted, Lyon's goal keeper, Lucas Perri with a stunning header.

The Red Devils’ lead only lasted for some few moments after another Andre Onana howler ,allowing Rayan Cherki to score in the second half of injury time.

The two teams will meet again for the second leg at Old Trafford in a week's time, as United anticipates to win the Europa title.

However, Man United will first have to face a tough premier league match against Newcastle on Sunday.
