RUTO APPROVES NATIONAL GOVERNMENT  ADMINISTRATION OFFICERS  PROMOTIONS

President William Ruto has approved the promotion of 128 National Government Administration Officers(NGAO) who were previously unqualified because of age. Speaking while attending the graduation ceremony of National Government Administration officers on June 13, 2025 the president said that the promotions will be granted upon successful completion of their paramilitary training.

300 officers who missed out on paramilitary training due to limited availability are now allowed to join the program. He also added that the Ministry of Interior should coordinate with his office to ensure the officers who missed the training have a chance to undergo the training. Moreover, the president assured the officers who did not complete the three- month training that his administration will provide the necessary resources to enable them to finish the program. He also called on NGAO to support his efforts to in building a united nation.

 The graduation marked the completion of training and skills development for over 800 Assistant County Commissioners(ACCs). In his speech during the ceremony he stated that Diploma in Public Administration course to remain relevant by adopting a culture of adaptability, continuous learning, unlearning, and relearning. Similarly, he added that the Ministry of Interior and National Government Administration has finalized a policy framework to define the role of Village Administrative Elders, and the policy aims to formalize and decentralize National Government functions down to the village level. It will enhance service delivery by making it more efficient, inclusive, accessible, and rooted in the community.
