SAMIDOH HINTS AT JOINING POLITICS

Mugithi artist, currently embattled police, Samuel Muchoki alias Samidoh has hinted at contending for the Ol Joro Orok, Nyandarua , parliamentary seat in 2027. This follows his actions which tend to speak louder than words.

This dates back to 2023 , where Samidoh and wife, Edday Nderitu donated mammoths of food and stuffs to the victims of hippopotamus invasions in Nyandarua, the residents highly welcomed his efforts , praising their timely intervention—his was possibly a pace setter for his bid.

However, there no further prompts until his recent scuffles with the police force over alleged truancy and his anti- governmental rhetorics, exhibited by his 'Wantam ' chants — in his recent performances.

The Musician, who flew to the US following an order to get him arrested and a recent one which declared him deserted, has been posting on his social media under the hashtag of oljiro_orok001, raising speculations of possible contendership.

For example on Sunday, June 8, the artist shared a photo with his young son. He went on joking about people saying that he is a red flag; “The character I have built over the years is what you are calling a red flag? You cousins, sometimes you can be toxic.” However, this post was hashtagged, #oljoro_orok001.

Moreover, he had another post with his youngest daughter, sitting on his lap and him leaning on a vehicle. The caption went; “I hope one day I will sleep before midnight like normal human beings. Every day I sleep, tomorrow, even yesterday, I slept today,” he wrote. Again the hashtag being #Oljoro_Orok001.

The most tentative hint was his meeting with former Interior CS turn opposition, Fred Matiang'i in US. Matiang'i reportedly went back to the US to finalise on his occupational role and officially return to contend against President Ruto ahead of the 2027 polls. He is the preferable flag bearer of the Jeremiah Kioni led Jubilee.

This post of Samidoh and Matiang'i being cordial and exchanging greetings has sparked reactions from netizens, most urging Samidoh to vie for the seat .

One user went; “One term it is. Oljoro Orok MP 2027, the party is DCP.” as another one urged him to resign from his role as a cop and join the political arena, “Resign. You can win an MP or senate seat very fast.”
