SIFUNA: WE ARE HATED BY KENYANS

ODM Secretary General and Nairobi Senator, Edwin Sifuna has blasted UDA allied leaders accusing them of misconduct and reckless speech, factors that brew hatred from Kenyans against them.

Speaking on 3, May , Sifuna highlighted that their actions as leaders have been the recipe for a backlash of hatred from Kenyans, adding that judgement day is soon approaching come the 2027 elections.

"Members of Parliament have destroyed the relationship they had with Kenyan citizens," the Senator said.
"The harsh reality is that our own ways have caused Kenyans to no longer love us. With the bulk of political leaders frantically attempting to clean up the mess, this has trickled down and things are just growing hotter," he added.

He also questioned the reliability of the nation's security apparatus following the recent murder of Kasipul MP, Charles Were.
In stating this, he used an example of one post from a netizen, who expressed his hatred for Kenyan leaders by hoping if the person who killed the late Mp can also do the same to other MPs.

He also went on calling out leaders allied to President Ruto, Nandi Senator, Samson Cherargei and his Kericho counterpart, Aaron Cheruiyot, accusing them of inciting the rift valley clashes.

Despite Sifuna's ODM joining UDA in a broad-based pact which saw former premier, Raila Odinga and President Ruto signing an MOU( Memorandum of Understanding), the Secretary General has always been vocal against any injustices against Kenyans .
