THOMAS FRANK CONDEMNS SPURS FANS

After the serious error of the goalkeeper led to a 2-1 defeat for the Spurs against Fulham, Thomas Frank took to the media and criticized the Tottenham supporters who booed Guglielmo Vicario.Vicario made a huge mistake and especially the fans of Tottenham hissing him when he got to the ball after the error was furious. Spurs were booed at half-time and even after Mohammed Kudus scored a consolation goal, the crowd still continued taunting the players at the final whistle.

Frank said, "When you're in a bad spell, anything that can go against you happens. The second goal was a blunder by Vic. Our fans booing him right after and a few times after that was something I did not like."

"They can't possibly be real Tottenham fans, because when you are on the pitch, everybody supports each other and we do everything possible to perform."
"It's fine if they feel that way, as we haven't won at home for a long time and they are also tired of losing. I don't mind them booing after the game, but during the game I hope it was one incident and it never happens again. That is unacceptable in my opinion."

Vicario acknowledged his mistake and said, "The second goal was my mistake. I am accountable for it. I intended to kick the ball out but I mis-kicked it."

"Being booed is part of football. I am a mature person. I'm seasoned. We must not be affected by what goes on in the stands. The fans are free to do what they deem fit."
"We are sorry for the loss. It hurts a lot."

A defensive player of Tottenham, Pedro Porro, seemed to show anger through body language and Frank commented on this: "I did not witness the incident, therefore, I can't say anything for sure."
"We're in a difficult period now and for my players it is a matter of staying as calm as possible and doing all that we can to get through it."

Tottenham, with just three victories from the last 13 matches across all competitions, have fallen down to the 10th spot in the Premier League.

This week, Frank still claimed that he was sure Tottenham's home field performance would finally "click," but they have only managed three league wins in north London in the year 2025.

Tottenham has not celebrated a Premier League home win since the very first week-end of the season, only winning four out of ten league and cup games played at home in front of their supporters this season.

The 4-1 defeat to their arch-rivals Arsenal last weekend and the 5-3 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday had only increased the pressure on Frank to put an end to their home misery.
