VIRGIN MARY'S STATUE PRE-MOURNS POPE'S DEATH

An incident, captured on video amidst a church service in Colombia on Good Friday, April 18, just two days before Pope Francis' death, showed the statue of Virgin Mary, allegedly shedding tears.

Witnesses seeing what appeared to be tears flowing from the Statue's eyes deemed it as miraculous.

This was during the Sermon of the Seven Words at St. John Eudes Parish in Aguas Claras, Norte de Santander department. This “Sermon of the Seven Words” commemorates the seven last sayings of Jesus Christ, during his crucifixion.

The video went viral eliciting reactions across social media with many terming it as of divine significance.
“It’s a miracle, how beautiful,” one commented while another was left astonished , “She’s really crying.”

Others attached it to spiritual meaning stating;
“It’s a sign that God is displeased with human evil, and that’s why our mother cries in silence.”

However, The Diocese of Ocana, the nearby town, has not released any official response in respect to the incident.

Pope Francis passed away aged 88 on Monday, 21 April due to Cerebral Stoke, leading to coma and subsequent cardiocirculatory collapse. He will be laid to rest on Saturday,26 , in Rome.
